So, what are Cheat Codes and why do I need them to reclaim my health?
Cheat Codes are secret codes (used in gaming) that are highly effective and move you towards your goals faster.
When it comes to health, what are some Cheat Codes you can use on a daily basis to reclaim your health?
Cheat Code #1: Take out the mind trash!
You know what I’m talking about! That little voice in your head that fills you with self-doubt that will undermine you the first chance it gets.
Yes, you can quiet or even shut that voice down! But it takes intention and practice.
Find a phrase or saying that you love… write it on a sticky note and put it on your bathroom mirror and repeat it at least once a day. When that voice pops up, shut it down and repeat your phrase until you’re back in control.
Cheat Code #2: Delegate at least 1 task on your “To Do List” every single day!
Trust me, it gets a little easier every time you do it.
Cheat Code #3: Move your body daily! Go for a walk, yoga, swim… find something you enjoy doing and do it! If you need accountability, get a friend or co-worker to join you.
Doing difficult things physically prepares you to do difficult things mentally.
Cheat Code #4: Connect with your squad!
Find time every day (minimum once a week) to connect with your family, friends or the people who love and support you. Connect and nurture your most valued relationships.
Cheat Code #5: Set and Enforce Boundaries!.
What distracts you? What stops you from doing what is important to you?
Start scheduling the things that are important to you and fill you up.
Start saying “Yes” to everyone’s requests and make yourself your priority. If you are running on empty, who is coming to fill you up?
Cheat Code #6: Get 8 Hours of Sleep Every Night! You know you need it!
I’ll leave you with this… This is a phrase that I really connect with, and I will repeat it over and over during my meditation
Cheat Code #7: And of course, Get Adjusted!
I am more than I appear to be, all the worlds power and strength rests inside of me.
